Academic

Our current academic pursuits are various, and include:

  • We are working with analytical chemists to better quantify the toxic components of oil-sands process water.
  • We are exploring the influence of low hardness on water quality guidelines for zinc
  • We are attempting to better understand the mixture toxicity of TDS
  • We are collaborating with scientists to learn what might help produce a more robust salmon gut, specifically the pyloric caeca, of salmon raised in hatchery environments
  • We are reporting on the toxicity of REEs to a variety of aquatic organisms
  • We are exploring the adverse effects from the tire preservative byproduct 6PPD-Q
